WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 takes place on Saturday, February 24, at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia, marking WWE’s first event to be held in Australia since Super Show-Down in October 2018, and the only WWE event in the Asia–Pacific region in 2024.
With just two months to go for Elimination Chamber, Australian tourism officials are reportedly pushing to have Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson appear at the event.
According to The West Australian, tourism officials launched an early bid to have The Rock as part of the negotiations with WWE.
The report is based on emails that were obtained under Freedom of Information Laws.
While The Rock is retired from in-ring competition, he has still made periodic appearances for WWE in the past, including as recently as September on SmackDown.
The Rock also hasn’t ruled out an appearance at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia. The Great One has been a fan favorite to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania for the past few years.
WWE has yet to announce The Rock for Elimination Chamber: Perth in an official capacity.
