Backstage Altercation & “Melee” After AEW All Out 2022 Media Scrum

A backstage altercation took place after the explosive comments made during the AEW All Out 2022 post-show media scrum.

AEW All Out 2022 saw CM Punk regain the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley in the former’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois.

During the post-show media scrum, Punk made several fiery comments, including saying that AEW’s EVPs Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks “couldn’t f**king manage Target.”

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alverez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter report that there was an altercation after the press conference and that the Bucks were there.

Meltzer notes that everyone was still in the building at the time, and described it as “a melee.”

On his own show, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that he heard of an altercation involving Punk, Ace Steel, and The Elite, but couldn’t confirm.

In addition to his comments about AEW’s EVPs, who he also accused of spreading false information, Punk called ‘Hangman’ Adam Page an “empty-headed f**king dumb f**k.”

Tony Khan has not commented publicly on Punk’s media scrum comments.
