Backstage MLW News – Lee Moriarty’s Signing With AEW, New Direction, More

According to a report from Pwinsider, the plan for next month’s MLW Fightland pay-per-view event is to showcase new directions for talents. This is expected to be the start of a new chapter for MLW.

MLW officials are interested in running another “Saturday Night Superfight” event during Super Bowl Weekend. The date of the show would be Saturday, February 12, 2022 but the location isn’t known at this time.

As noted last night here on eWn, Lee Moriarty has signed with AEW. According to reports, Moriarty was never under contract with Major League Wrestling and was a free agent. This is the same sort of deal Killer Kross (Karrion Kross in WWE) had when he worked several MLW shows after he left Impact Wrestling and prior to signing with WWE.

MLW is planning to hold another co-promoted event that will be taking place by the end of the year. In March 2020, AAA/MLW held a co-promoted event in Tijuana Mexico.
