According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns went off-script during a segment on last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown. With that being said, nothing ever happens on the show that isn’t approved.
Paul Levesque (Triple H) has had more influence on WWE SmackDown over the past several weeks.
Bruce Prichard and Ed Koskey were not at the SmackDown TV tapings last week. Koskey was working on another project and Prichard was on a pre-planned vacation. Ryan Callihan and Mike Heller were involved in the creative team meetings. Also, Dave Kapoor was brought up from NXT to help out with the booking of the show.
Adam Pearce was also not backstage at last week’s WWE SmackDown TV tapings. As you’d expect, the show was very “short-handed” and there were lots of late changes made as usual.
