Buddy Matthews is All Elite after debuting with the company last week.
As seen on Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Matthews made his official debut with the company, aligning himself with Malakai Black and Brody King.
According to a report from Fightful, Matthews and AEW had been in talks since the fall. With that being said, there’s no word on when the deal was actually agreed upon. Additionally, Impact Wrestling reached out to Matthews about bringing him in, but that obviously never came to fruition. According to sources, several members of the AEW roster were aware that Matthews would be coming in as of three weeks ago.
Matthews has made a very good impression on AEW officials since his arrival. There was one moment where he nixed a spot after learning that it involved him using someone else’s finishing maneuver.
