As we reported on Friday here on eWn, Jinder Mahal underwent knee surgery last week in Birmingham and is sidelined indefinitely. Originally, the surgery was expected to be minor in nature but once doctors got in, the damage turned out more significant than expected. Mahal had recently returned to WWE TV and according to reports, was potentially headed for a brief program against WWE champion Drew McIntyre, due to their past history together. The Observer cautions though that the idea wasn’t for any sort of long-term storyline, but rather just a one-off match due to the lack of top heels.
