WWE taping post-WrestleMania episode of RAW
It’s been a wild time in WWE following the news breaking that Vince McMahon is being investigated by the WWE Board of Directors in relation to a $3 million dollar settlement made to a former WWE employee after they allegedly had an affair.
According to a report from Pwinsider, there is “a lot of silence among employees” as they are all waiting to see how bad the situation may get and whether it will hurt the company.
Employees are currently keeping “their heads down” in an attempt to try and not get caught up in the mess. Many are biting their tongues right now because they don’t know which executives will end up with potentially more power once the dust has settled.
It was said there is “a lot of sympathy” for Stephanie McMahon, who had taken a leave of absence from the company only to come back to be the Chairwoman and CEO.
Stephanie is staying strong despite her mother and Vince’s wife, Linda, being publicly disrespected by the situation.
It is reported that there has been “a lot of headshaking” behind the scenes regarding Vince McMahon appearing on television despite the allegations. Some have seen this as an act of denial with some wondering if this is the beginning of the end for him being involved with the company. There have been talks internally about how to institute new checks and balances within the company, but there is some concern about how difficult it will be to enforce them.
