According to reports, Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, the site of Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble pay–per-view event, is currently set up to seat 43,000 fans but expectations are that 25,000 to 30,000 will be paid attendees. The entire stadium is set except where the stage will be. Dave Meltzer suggests that tarp or paper will be used to cover up empty spots.
Meanwhile, the attendance for the RAW after the Rumble will be between 7,000 and 7,500. He says this will be a “huge disappointment” for WWE.
