As many of you know by now, Lana and several others were released from WWE on Wednesday. Lana had worked for the company for eight years prior to her firing.
According to a report from Fightful, WWE’s creative plans were “significantly different” for Lana prior to Charlotte Flair making her return to the company. According to sources, Vince McMahon “personally assured” Lana that it wouldn’t be the end of her character in WWE and the company had more creative plans for her going forward.
As far as when Lana didn’t have any storylines on RAW, it wasn’t due to any lack of work ethic or trying. She and Naomi would “constantly” talk to creative to try to ensure they had something to do.
Lana took to Twitter following her release, thanking the fans for their support.
