It was previously reported that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin had turned down WWE’s offers to compete in a match at WrestleMania 39.
The offer was for a match against Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns, but Austin declined WWE’s offer despite headlining WrestleMania 38 one year prior.
According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE sources are of the belief that Austin is open to the possibility of a WrestleMania match for the right situation and money.
It was noted that WWE has already made additional pitches to Austin for appearing on the show, though not “necessarily” in marquee bouts.
While LA Knight has been pitched as Austin’s potential opponent, no one has been able to verify whether that match is actually happening or not.
Austin is also scheduled for promotional work for WWE 2K23 soon.
