The January 25th episode of AEW Dynamite took place from the Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY.
Fightful Select has provided several backstage notes from the show:
* RJ City was backstage to film episodes of his ‘Hey! EW’ show.
* Brody King and Ethan Page had a meet & greet at Toy Vomit on Tuesday. Also, The Best Friends and Orange Cassidy were at KSBar doing a photoshoot with fans.
* Several wrestlers who were not originally booked for the show were in town.
* AEW remains happy with Billie Starkz’ dark matches and she will likely return soon.
* Some wrestlers were brought in at the last minute after Mark Briscoe’s debut was announced on social media. Talent was said to be ‘overjoyed’ with the fact that Mark would finally be allowed on Warner Bros. Discovery. The belief is that Mark could have been on the show by himself before Jay’s passing. The new people in charge of Warner Bros. Discovery were said to be ‘helpful’ in Khan’s efforts to get Briscoe on AEW Dynamite.
