Backstage Report – TNA Being Forced To Move Their Bound For Glory PPV Due To WWE Backlash?

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

According to sources, TNA Wrestling may be forced to move its annual Bound for Glory pay-per-view event. The event is currently scheduled to take place on September 11th but WWE will be holding their Backlash pay-per-view event on that same night. TNA was planning to hold the event on the date before WWE announced that Backlash would take place on the same night.

As seen on Tuesday night’s TNA iMPACT! Wrestling broadcast, the company began to promote their Bound For Glory pay-per-view but they never mentioned a date. As you’d expect, WWE will have top priority with cable providers since it draws a much bigger audience than TNA does, even with the WWE Network causing their pay-per-view business to drop off big time.

It’s very unlikely that TNA will hold their biggest pay-per-view of the year against a WWE pay-per-view event. TNA officials are looking into new dates and hope to be able to reveal an official date in the very near future.
