UPDATE x 2: James Storm lost a “Loser Leaves Town” match at Thursday night’s iMPACT! Wrestling TV tapings, which seems to indicate that he’s done with the company unless they can agree to terms on a new deal before January of 2018 (their next set of TV tapings).
UPDATE: According to sources, there are a lot of eyes on James Storm and his future with iMPACT! Wrestling. As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, Storm’s contract with iMPACT! expires in January of 2018. With iMPACT! Wrestling taping the rest of their television episodes through 2017 this week in Ottawa, Canada, Thursday night’s TV tapings may be Storm’s last with the company.
According to reports, there was said to have been some grumbling backstage over the attention being paid to the Canadian talents who are booked for this week’s TV tapings. There is also a fear among those who work in the Nashville, TN office that they are in the process of being replaced/phased out. There was also talk within the company that talents were being talked into accepting “lesser deals”. There is belief within the company that some of the higher paid talents will be the next to depart the company if they decide to turn down any offers to accept less money.
ORIGINAL: According to reports, James Storm’s contract with iMPACT! Wrestling expires in January and he may be leaving the company. With iMPACT! taping their TV for the rest of 2017 next week in Ottawa, these may end up being Storm’s final iMPACT! Wrestling dates.
Brian Hebner, Marshe Rockett, MJ Jenkins, Taryn Terrell, Madison Rayne, Reno Scum, Rockstar Spud, Low Ki, Eddie Kingston and Jeff Jarrett have all recently left the company.
