Veteran Wrestling Journalist Bill Apter has said that AEW’s MJF is similar to a young ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper, who passed away in 2015.
Piper defined his career with intense promos and after an incredible career, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 by Ric Flair.
Speaking to Sportskeeda, Apter praised MJF, who is seen as one of wrestling’s best heels right now, saying:
“He’s A kind of a younger Roddy Piper, he’s really got his own style. He is unscripted when you talk about it, if somebody scripted him he might not be as good. But you know, they let him go with an idea like in old school, this is what we try to do and he’s got his own original style. He really does.”
MJF will face CM Punk in a Dog Collar match this weekend at AEW Revolution.
