Bully Ray and Edge may have been at crossroads quite frequently as part of their tag team units during the Attitude Era, but as far as their respective careers go, Ray and Edge’s careers have been vastly distinct since.

While Bully established himself as a main event singles talent in TNA and has continued to perform outside of the WWE spectrum for years, Edge has always stuck with the sports-entertainment giant, despite having stayed retired for nine years before his sensational comeback in 2020.

Edge’s comeback stint in WWE, however, has now come to an end for the time being, with his contract expiring in September. He wrestled Sheamus on last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown in his hometown of Toronto, and the WWE Hall of Famer’s future remains uncertain. All Elite Wrestling stays a viability, with his pal Christian Cage doing some of the best work of his career on AEW Collision as of late, but Bully Ray believes that if Edge does continue to wrestle, he should stick with WWE. Why? Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Ray said:

“If this is Edge’s last match in WWE, if his contract is expiring, if he is done… do you think Tony [Khan] has the money to lure Edge over to AEW? Without a doubt. There could be one hell of a bidding war. I would be really shocked if a homegrown WWE talent in Edge … WWE is not just letting this guy go. So many people are begging this guy to make the jump over to AEW. Personally, I don’t think that’s the right fit … I think Edge is one of those guys that should be a WWE lifer.”
