Chris Jericho on Vince McMahon’s Reaction to His WrestleMania 33 Match with Kevin Owens

When speaking to Inside The Ropes, Chris Jericho spoke in-depth about his matchup against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 33.

Chris Jericho discusses his WrestleMania 33 match with Kevin Owens. Jericho first talked about the build-up to the match, saying that he and Triple H had differences of opinion when it came to the Festival of friendship segments that actually ignited the feud between Owens and Y2J.

In regards to the actual match, Chris Jericho admitted that the match wasn’t great, but he also talked about not being happy with many of his WrestleMania matches because they’re hard to actually live up to the hype and expectation.

Vince McMahon had infamously said to Kevin Owens that it was a terrible match, this was even covered in the Kevin Owens WWE 365 special on the WWE Network. Chris Jericho feels that this is because Vince McMahon had a certain expectation of the kind of bad guy that Kevin Owens should portray and Kevin’s ring work was not in sync with Vince’s vision.
