According to the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there was internal unhappiness in the AEW camp over the comments that CM Punk made to ESPN.
The belief internally is that they were always honest about their relationship with CM Punk and that Punk is exaggerating regards to his comments about Tony Khan.
It is also being reported that Cody Rhodes is not the only person who would think that CM Punk might go back to WWE after his comments to ESPN.
As of now, Punk is still the headliner of Starrcast III.
