WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes has admitted that his reasons for coming back to WWE may seem “somewhat arrogant” to others.
Rhodes returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38, six years after leaving and two months after parting ways with AEW.
Speaking to Montez Ford on a recent episode of Chevrolet Trucks’ “Grit and Glory” show, Rhodes explained his return has come about because of the quality of talent in WWE he has yet to face:
“I’ll give you a somewhat arrogant answer… for two-three years nobody’s been able to touch me in the ring.”
Rhodes tore his pectoral muscle off the bone shortly before Hell in a Cell 2022 but still competed at the show, defeating Seth Rollins.
While WWE has said he will be out for nine months, it is expected he will be back far sooner.
