All Elite Wrestling (AEW) executive Cody Rhodes tweeted the following, commenting on his knee injury and the need for upcoming surgery.
We previously reported here on eWn that Rhodes suffered a knee injury in late 2018 and reportedly planned on getting surgery in January after the Wrestle Kingdom 13 pay-per-view event. At that show, Cody lost the IWGP US title to Juice Robinson. As of this writing, Rhodes still hasn’t had the surgery with everything going on with the launch of AEW. Rhodes said,
“Surgery is a must, I can’t afford to have another stinker like the dome match.”

Drank a full pre-workout and drove to the gym. Then went and bought some cheap headphones because my beats died, but I forgot about the new headphone jack and am now driving back to Best Buy… pic.twitter.com/pWYkjQgNEj
