Corey Graves made a reference to AEW star Sting with his commentary during this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
During a tag-team match pitting Johnny Gargano and Kevin Owens against Alpha Academy, Owens locked Chad Gable in what Graves referred to as the Scorpion Death Lock.
WWE typically refers to Sting’s Scorpion Death Lock hold as a Sharpshooter, as Bret Hart used the hold during his time in the company.
Owens and Gargano would get the win over Gable and Otis despite interference from Austin Theory.
Sting signed with AEW in late 2020 and has teamed with Darby Allin since then.
