WWE may be bringing back the King of the Ring pay-per-view event. WWE recently applied to trademark the phrase on July 28th as a “show about professional wrestling…the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service.” There is a separate trademark application by the company on the same day for the phrase for “software for the creation of mobile internet applications and client interfaces.”
Many of you may remember that WWE did a King of the Ring tournament in 2015 that saw Bad News Barrett win. The tournament was last used as a full-fledged pay-per-view event in 2002.
Also, WWE posted a new job listing on Tuesday for a “digital retoucher, looking for someone with 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably with a background in beauty retouching and image composition.”
