WWE issued a statement on their official website to confirm the news that read the following:
“WWE has come to terms on the release of Curtis Axel. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Axel is part of the long list of staff and wrestlers who were released by the company due to budget cuts that relate to the impact of the coronavirus.
