It was announced during the SmackDown tapings that the Royal Rumble pay-per-view will be taking place on Sunday, January 25th, 2015 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tickets go on sale this Friday but they were available to fans at tonight’s tapings.
It was also announced that there will be a 40-man Royal Rumble match instead of the usual 30-man match.
