As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Oklahoma City, OK at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on the USA Network, Nia Jax got a win over WWE Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in a non-title match.
It was a rough match and with spots messed up or looked awkward. Some fans thought they were shooting on each other at some points with real strikes.
Pwinsider.com reported today that when the match went awry, there were some real slaps and punches thrown. There was a legitimate confrontation inside the ring. After they got the communication corrected, they went to the original finish.
Several sources claimed that what took place is “exactly what it appeared to be.” The resulting match and sloppiness was described as a “breakdown in communication” between Flair and Jax.
However, by the end of the match, Jax and Flair were reportedly able to get things back on track, and the finish to the match went off as planned. Additionally, there was “no issue backstage” between Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax after the match took place.
