As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Edge’s contract with WWE expires at midnight tonight (Saturday).
On Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown, the Rated-R Superstar was no longer featured in the intro for the show.
While there have been rumors that Adam Copeland (Edge) is heading to All Elite Wrestling, there is no confirmation on that. With AEW President Tony Khan teasing a “new era” beginning at AEW WrestleDream, it’s very possible we’ll see Edge making his debut with the company.
For those unaware – when a WWE contract expires – there isn’t a non-compete clause associated with it so Edge is free to work wherever he’d like come Sunday.
