Stephanie McMahon recently had an interview on ESPN’s Cheap Heat podcast. A number of topics came up but one that stood out was that she wanted a heel-turn for John Cena.
Here is the highlight from that particular portion of the interview:
“At one point in his career, I really wanted to see him turn heel. I wanted it as a fan and I also thought it was the right thing to do, but it turns out I was wrong. And Vince and John… oh yeah, oh yeah, totally, I did. Yeah, but I’m glad that we didn’t go that way, and I think, now, it would be odd for John to turn heel.”
WWE fans took to Twitter showing their displeasure that the SD Live Women’s Championship match was being moved to the pre-show of WrestleMania 33 with the #GiveSDWomenAChance. Current champion, Alexa Bliss is set to defend her championship against every available woman on the roster. Also, former SD Live Women’s champion Naomi returned on the latest episode of Smackdown Live, adding herself to the championship match.

#GiveSDWomenAChance they have been consistently better as a whole than the Raw women, yet they are getting treated like dust.

If Sasha or Charlotte were on SD they wouldn't be on the pre show. World doesn't evolve around the RAW women's division #GiveSDWomenAChance

The women are never going to be taken as seriously as they should be if WWE keep taking them off big shows. #GiveSDWomenAChance
