Rey Mysterio won the United States Championship from Samoa Joe at Money In The Bank. The victory however wouldn’t be without controversy. Samoa Joe’s shoulders were off the mat at the time of the 3 count being made.
The match also ended early as Samoa Joe’s nose was busted open. Afterwards Rey Mysterio suffered a vicious attack at the hands of Samoa Joe after the conclusion of the match which left him injured. Reportedly, Rey Mysterio separated his shoulder during the altercation.
WWE will address the state of the United States Championship next week on Monday Night Raw.
