The 2023 WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event may be held in a familiar city for WWE.
The city of Detroit, Michigan is reportedly a front runner for the 2023 summer premium live event. According to Fightful Select, Detroit was reportedly considered for the show in recent months.
The last time WWE visited the area for this summer event was in 1993 at the Palace of Auburn Hills, the former home of the Detroit Pistons.
Comerica Park, Little Caesars Arena, and Ford Field have all been considered by WWE as potential locations for the event. Ford Field hosted WrestleMania 23.
WWE has held stadium shows for the event the past two years.
