Gable Steveson’s immediate future with WWE is reportedly up in the air as he is considering his options.
Steveson signed with WWE in September 2021 as part of the promotion’s Next in Line program.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that a third NCAA run and possible return to the Olympics are being considered:
“Last year they made a big deal of him being drafted to Raw… the idea was for him to become a regular on Raw after this past semester ended at Minnesota. But he hasn’t been used and he’s talked about returning to college to go for a third NCAA title in 2023, and even pondered if that was the case going for a second gold medal in 2024.”
Steveson won gold for Team USA in wrestling at the 2021 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo Japan.
The next Summer Olympics will begin on Friday, July 26, 2024 in Paris, France.
