‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan Gives Statement After Subduing Home Intruder

WWE Hall of Famer ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan has thanked law enforcement after he was the subject of an attempted home invasion.

Last weekend, Duggan’s South Carolina home was broken into by an attempted burglar, who was fleeing from a family he had tried to rob.

The 68-year-old Duggan was able to subdue the home intruder and held them at gunpoint until police arrived.

On Instagram, Duggan thanked Kershaw County Sherriff’s Department for their work dealing with this matter. He wrote,

“We would like to thank the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Department for their prompt and professional response last week. A man who we had never seen before climbed our fence, ran through our yard to our front door, and was pounding on our glass doors. Before we could get to the door, he opened it and fell into our house. I held him at gunpoint while Debra called 911. We are safe with no damage. Thanks to everyone for the concern and well wishes!”

Duggan recently beat cancer for the second time, and encouraged fans to get tested on a regular basis.
