Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio recently stated that he doesn’t consider WWE Champion AJ Styles’ injury to be a big deal considering he worked live events this weekend. While he did acknowledge that Styles didn’t really do much in the match, the fact that he was cleared to work should be a good sign in of itself. Meltzer also stated that there shouldn’t be anything to worry about in regards to Styles being able to work against Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania 34.
He also said that if Styles had to work on one leg, he and Nakamura would still be able to put on a great match. Meltzer finally speculated that Styles’ injury could be MCL related, but was unable to confirm at the time.
