Many WWE Superstars are staking their claim on winning Money in the Bank. The women’s Money in the Bank ladder match already has three spots filled with three remaining. Although it seems like time is running out for anyone currently injured, one Superstar possibly teased coming back to win the whole thing.
Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley took her Instagram and shared a photo of herself in bed cuddling the Money in the Bank briefcase. You can check out the post below:
Bayley has been out of action for almost a year after tearing her ACL in July 2021 while training at the WWE Performance Center. She has since teased returning multiple times throughout the past year, including challenging then RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38. Her last championship feud was against Bianca Belair. There’s no word on what brand Bayley would appear on if she does return.
Bayley won the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2019 and cashed in on Charlotte Flair to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship. It was reported in March that she was physically ready to return. If this remains true, Bayley could appear and grab the briefcase again.
The last woman to have won the Money in the Bank briefcase was Nikki A.S.H. She then later successfully cashed in the briefcase on RAW to become the RAW’s Women’s Champion. This year’s matchup has a lot of new and familiar faces who all want a chance to become champions in the near future. Fans will have to wait to see if any injured Superstar returns to fill out the field.
