It appears as though WWE SmackDown Live Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy is dealing with an injury. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio broke the news, stating that Hardy suffered some sort of leg injury during this past weekend’s SmackDown live event from Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday. Jeff teamed up with his brother, Matt, to defeat The Usos.
During Sunday’s live event in Rochester, Minnesota, Jeff was “limping significantly” while in Matt Hardy’s corner, as he defeated Jimmy Uso. And finally, during yesterday’s (Mon. April 22, 2019) SmackDown live show in Sioux City, Iowa, Matt teamed up with R-Truth to defeat Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows in tag team action. The Hardy Boyz recently captured the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships.
They defeated The Usos for the straps, which, at the time, were the only tag team titles the future Hall Of Famers had not yet won in WWE. With that being said, Matt and Jeff are the first team in history to have won the WWE World Tag Team Championships, the RAW Tag Team Championships, and the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships.
