As previously reported here on eWn, Jeff Hardy has been charged with Driving While License Canceled/Suspended/Revoked, Violation of Restrictions Placed on Drivers License, and DUI Alcohol/Drugs Third Offense Within 10 Years. Hardy has been suspended without pay by AEW.

The AEW star is now scheduled for a court appearance on July 5th at 2:30 PM ET regarding the arrest after today’s hearing was canceled.

Fightful Select reports that AEW has not offered a comment on Hardy telling police officers during the traffic stop that he had an upcoming doctor’s appointment scheduled regarding his “head” that entailed “brain scans.”

One source stated that from a legal perspective, there is unlikely to be more that is revealed. Additionally, the actual arrest time was 9:54 AM EST and be was booked at 12:45 PM EST. It was originally thought that he was arrested at 12:30 AM EST but that is not the case.

After Jeff’s concert and the Hardy Boys’ appearance at the SlamDown VII convention, Matt Hardy made sure that Jeff got back to his hotel room before flying back home to be with his family. Jeff chose to remain in Florida.

Hardy did have a physical license and often used it to rent vehicles. It doesn’t appear to have caused any issues outside of North Carolina.
