During the latest edition of Chris Jericho’s “Talk is Jericho” podcast, former WWE creative team writer Jimmy Jacobs talked about being fired from WWE. During the interview, Jacobs said that he put himself in a WWE-sponsored 30-day rehab facility following WrestleMania 33 to work on his addiction to opiates. We previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com that Jacobs had taken some time off to deal with a personal issue before returning to work this past summer. Jacobs told Jericho that after he went to rehab, he didn’t care about his job or working for WWE anymore. Regarding the photo he posted online of himself and The Young Bucks, he said he wasn’t trying to get fired, but he also “wasn’t trying to not get fired”.
