John Cena Misses Being A Full Time Wrestler “Every Single Day”

16-time WWE World Champion John Cena has said he misses wrestling on a full-time schedule constantly now that he’s transitioned into a part-time role.

After over a decade as a full-time star, Cena’s appearances have become less frequent in recent years as his career in movies and TV continues to bear fruit.

Speaking with GQ.com, Cena discussed his time as a full-time wrestler saying:

“I miss it every day. Every single day. But I’ll be 45 on April 23rd, and I was very fortunate to make it as long as I did with only a minor list of injuries. Nothing that has changed the trajectory of my long term health. I’m strong, flexible, and in really good shape externally, internally. I think now, being a full-time touring performer might start to hit that point of diminishing returns, and I have to be realistic when I look at that.”

Cena, a five-time WrestleMania main eventer, is not expected at this weekend’s event in Arlington, Texas.
