Josh Alexander Speaks Out On Kenny Omega’s Impact World Championship Reign

Current Impact X-Division Champion Josh Alexander has spoken out on whats his thoughts are on Kenny Omega being the Impact World Champion.

Speaking to the WrestleSlam Podcast on the SportsMatters YouTube channel, Alexander had this to say:

“Well, I’m not happy about Omega taking the belt because I don’t think he puts the respect on that belt that it needs. You know, I see a lot of people talking about the X-Division Championship right now, as the sole championship in Impact Wrestling and all this other stuff and I think to me, I think the X- Division championship has been one of the most prestigious belts, regardless of the Heavyweight Championship. But, yeah, Slammiversary we’ll see how it goes with Sami and Omega, if Omega ends up having to retain, I certainly don’t want to give up my X-Division championship. I want to be, like I said I want to be regarded as one of the best X-Division champions of all time and I don’t think giving it up right away is going to be able to you know do that for me I have a bunch of milestones that need to hit but, if he wants to test me. I would gladly welcome the match, especially in an Impact Wrestling ring.”

Omega, who is also the AEW World Champion, and the AAA Mega Champion, has held the Impact World Championship for sixty days winning the title at Impact’s Rebellion PPV. Alexander would win his X-Divison Championship on the same night.
