Kenny Omega Wants AEW to Work with Particular Japanese Promotion

Kenny Omega is officially part of All Elite Wrestling (AEW). “The Cleaner” is now exclusive to the promotion, and also serves as one of the company’s Executive Vice Presidents. The news was announced at the Double Or Nothing ticket announcement party in Las Vegas earlier this month. Speaking to Tokyo Sports recently, Omega commented on AEW possibly working with other promotions in Japan.

Omega admitted that he’s personally scouting for more Joshi talent. More specifically, he wants to work with the Japanese promotion DDT Pro-Wrestling. Omega worked for the promotion from 2008 to 2014:

“I’m scouting the Joshi talent. I also wanna work with DDT again. I want to showcase the DDT style, and Yuka Sakazaki is truly one of a kind; there’s no one else like her.”

DDT Pro-Wrestling President Sanshiro Takagi responded by saying: “Kenny is family; if he needs our help, he’s getting it.”

AEW has already proven they’re open to working with other promotions across the world. They’ve already developed a partnership with the Chinese promotion Oriental Wrestling Entertainment (OWE). Two of their stars will team up with CIMA against SCU at Double Or Nothing. AEW has also developed a partnership with AAA. Perhaps the same could be coming for OWE.
