On June 26, 2021, Empire Pro Wrestling presented EPW V live from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. At this event, EPW Heavyweight Champion Kevin James Sanchez laid down a challenge to the man who has been a thorn in the side of the roster – Father Padge.
With his open challenge cancelled for the night by the companies new owner, Kevin James Sanchez would spend half of the show on commentary. However, Sanchez would soon grab a microphone and address the hot EPW crowd – and address Father Padge backstage – to lay down a challenge.
The EPW Champion would challenge Father Padge to a one-on-one contest next month at EPW Stars & Stripes. Sanchez would pose to the crowd, only for Padge to attack Sanchez from behind. The Saints of Pro Wrestling would make their way down to ringside and make the save for Sanchez.
Later on in the event, Father Padge would defeat Maddox Jones in a highly entertaining contest. In retaliation to Padge’s earlier attack, KJ Sanchez would collide with Padge in the middle of the ring. This would lead to Padge accepting this challenge. It’s official at EPW Stars & Stripes, Kevin James Sanchez will defend his EPW Championship against Father Padge.
