Kevin Nash: The Death Of Test “Tore My Heart”

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash has opened up on how the death of Andrew ‘Test’ Martin affected him.

Martin worked for WWE from 1998-2004 as ‘Test’ and returned to the company under the same name from 2006-2007.

Martin was found dead in his Tampa apartment on March 13, 2009, four days prior to his 34th birthday.

Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Nash recalled Martin’s passing.

“He was talented man, he was a stud. My son and I went to a WrestleMania with him… my son actually got close with him.

“I think that was the first wrestler that passed that my son had a relationship with, that I had a relationship with, it tore my heart.”

In WWE, Test held the Intercontinental Championship, European and Hardcore titles, and was both a WCW and WWF World Tag Team Champion.

Toxicology reports revealed that Martin’s death was caused by an accidental overdose of prescription pain medication.
