Recently, WWE Hall of Famer, Kurt Angle, spoke with Inside The Ropes about his most recent WWE run and his retirement. In this interview, Angle detailed missing out on the one superstar he never got to share a ring with – one-half of The Dirty Dawgz – Dolph Ziggler.

In this interview, Angle would speak on wanting to work with Dolph, stating:

“I always wanted to work with Dolph. From the beginning when I came back to WWE, he was on my radar. The kid is such a special talent, he can do just about anything and I think that his size really helps him.”

When expanding on the “size” claim, Angle stated:

“He’s a little bit smaller, so he’s able to do a lot more. But I’ve always loved his work. I’ve been a big fan of him since he started and I would have loved to have a match with him.”

Angle would continue to state that Ziggler wasn’t his “dream match”, but he was definitely up there. Instead, Angle namedropped Bret Hart and Daniel Bryan as “dream matches” for The Olympic Gold Medalist.

Sadly, it seems as though Angle’s time as an in-ring competitor may be over. Reportedly, Angle suffers from severe pain daily from his time as a wrestler. He would wrestle his final match at WWE WrestleMania 35, doing the job to Baron Corbin in a six-minute contest.
