Mance Warner/MLW Contract Update: AEW & NXT Reportedly Interested In Him

Mance Warner’s contract with Major League Wrestling (MLW) is set to expire in January of 2022.

The wrestling veteran signed a deal with MLW in January of 2019 that ended up becoming an issue between himself and the promotion.

Warner was in a legal dispute with MLW over his contract last October, leading to him formally requesting his release, which the company did not grant.

At the time Warner requested his release, sources claim AEW was expressing interest in bringing him in, going as far as to have multiple visits with him behind-the-scenes at Dynamite and Revolution 2020 shows in the Chicago, Illinois area.

In addition to AEW, apparently WWE NXT showed some interest in Warner, however due to his contractual status with MLW keeping him legally tied up things never materialized past the point of the company expressing some interest in him as a potential developmental talent for the future.

It’s worth noting that Warner’s deal with MLW does not have a non-compete clause, so when he is eventually contractually freed up he will immediately be free-and-clear to work where he pleases.

Warner noted in a back-and-forth with MJF on Twitter earlier this month that he is locked into his existing contract with MLW up until February. Check out the tweets below.
