Sting will wrestle his final match in a few months, but don’t be surprised if the Icon’s last match doesn’t see him go one-on-one with an opponent.

On a recent edition of his “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, Hardy reflected on Sting’s retirement and gave his prediction for what fans can expect. He said,

I could possibly see Sting and Darby in a singles match at Revolution. I almost feel like it would be Sting and Darby together. I could almost see Sting and Darby winning the tag titles and maybe losing them in that final match. I don’t know, there’s a couple of ways it could go. I think that’s something Sting would be up for doing. I don’t know. I think his match at Revolution is going to be a tag match. My gut tells me it won’t be a singles match.”

Hardy later agreed with his co-host Jon Alba who said that if Sting’s final match is a singles match, it should be against Darby Allin.

Sting’s final match will take place at AEW Revolution 2024. The show will take place on March 3, from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.
