Last week, Deonna Purrazzo’s victorious AEW debut against Red Velvet led fans to body shame the former Impact Knockouts Champion on social media.
Mickie James, who had a notable rivalry with Purrazzo, took to Twitter to defend her former colleague. She tweeted,
“Just so you’re aware. I am a big fan of your butt @DeonnaPurrazzo. I think it’s beautiful and perfect. Especially when I was whoopin’ it.
I love when you whip this butt too. But [I love you] more.”
In a series of tweets, AEW wrestler Adam Cole sent a message to the fans, noting that being “nice” gets a person nowhere in life and those calling him the bad guy need to wake up.
Cole tweeted, “I’m the bad guy?!?! 😂😂😂 2024 is wild. Ya’ll need to wake up. Being “nice” gets you NOWHERE. Trust me…I know. #UndisputedKingdom @AEW Every single person you ‘love & admire’ does what they want, when they want. I’m done playing nice. If you don’t like it then tough sh*t. 😊 Is this what you want? People running their mouth online? Does this make you happy? You can’t get enough of the online drama & BS…you LOVE it. If me finally defending myself makes me ‘the devil’ then I’m comfortable in hell. It’s not too late…you know I’m right. #UndisputedKingdom @AEW”
At AEW Worlds End 2023, Cole revealed himself as The Devil, betraying MJF and forming his new stable, The Undisputed Kingdom.
