On Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF was interviewed backstage by Alex Marvez.
During the segment, the “Salt of the Earth” became upset at Stokely Hathaway for interrupting him. MJF then told Hathaway that he’s on strike two after he got involved in his match against Wheeler Yuta last week without being told to.
He then moved on to William Regal, taking shots at his past. MJF did mention that he didn’t know if he was going to shake Yuta’s hand or not before the attack. He added that “nice guys finish last” and knows that everyone, including the fans and the boys in the back, hate him. And he hates himself too. But that’s what he has to do to be the best. He said,
“You don’t have a God damn clue what it’s like to be MJF waking up every morning splashing water on my face looking in the morning and knowing I have no choice but to be the bad guy. I have broken my hand many times punching my reflection. You don’t like me? Tough sh** because guess what, when I walk through that curtain I don’t like me either.”
