As reported, AEW President Tony Khan held a talent meeting before this week’s edition of Dynamite to address several recent backstage issues. It was noted that Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Chris Jericho, Tony Schiavone, and of course, Tony Khan all spoke during the meeting.
According to a report from Pwinsider, Tony Khan began by speaking about the new Vice Presidents in Talent Relations and Development and how things would operate with them involved. It was noted that Khan told everyone Megha Parekh emailed Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon to warn them about contract tampering.
Pat Buck asked the roster to respect the coaches rather than looking at Khan to solve their problems. He gave information on how the roster could pitch ideas in the future.
Tony Schiavone spoke about his time in WCW and was said to have come off like an “Uncle who wanted all of his kids in the family to succeed.”
Chris Jericho reportedly gave a “rah-rah” speech and spoke about the company’s progress thus far.
The Young Bucks, mainly Matt Jackson, said their doors are open anytime if someone needs help.
Kenny Omega’s speech was said to have been “harsh,” with some even saying it was “heavy-handed.”
Finally, Megha Parekh spoke about the legal matters, and Khan ended by talking about what he was able to do with the company so far.
