A former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion is just one of the names reportedly set to debut for AEW soon, after the shocking departure of Cody Rhodes.

Earlier this month, AEW President Tony Khan promised more wrestlers would be joining the company, and we’ve already seen Keith Lee and Jay White make their AEW debuts, with Lee being announced as All Elite shortly after.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that more wrestlers are set to join the company, including Jeff Hardy and Buddy Matthews.

It’s also being reported that Shane ‘Swerve’ Strickland is on the company’s radar and with his non-compete clause ending last week, is expected to join soon.

The former NXT North American Champion is said to be in “significant talks” with AEW, and while he’s not signed yet, it’s expected that he will.
