In the opening segment of Smackdown LIVE, it was revealed that Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose and The Miz will be competing in the Royal Rumble match. Those two join Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, The Undertaker, Braun Strowman, Chris Jericho, Seth Rollins, Baron Corbin and The New Day as all of the confirmed names for the match.
Daniel Bryan announced that Alexa Bliss will defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch in a rematch. Daniel Bryan also announced that this match will take place inside a steel cage.
