As seen during Monday’s episode of RAW, several video packages aired to pay tribute to John Cena on his 20 year anniversary in WWE.
Three of the names who appeared in the packages were AEW stars Bryan Danielson, Paul “The Big Show” Wight, and Chris Jericho.
According to a report from Fightful, the AEW stars appearing in the videos was said to have been a “very straightforward” affair.
The idea was originally pitched and then Tony Khan was asked if he’d approve of the appearances, which he did. Khan was said to have been cool with the videos being taped considering the circumstances around the intention. One source in WWE said they were able to get pretty much everyone that they had hoped to get for the videos.
