As seen during last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley cut a backstage promo on Hiroshi Tanahashi, who had earlier challenged the winner of Lance Archer vs. Hikuleo earlier in the night. With that being said, we’ll see Tanahashi vs. Archer at NJPW Resurgence. During Moxley’s promo, he said Tanahashi has been ducking him.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer, Moxley recently spoke with Tony Khan and made a pitch to work with a “top NJPW Superstar” at AEW All Out in Chicago, IL. Khan was receptive to the idea and the plans began last night. As of this writing, it is not confirmed that Moxley will be facing Tanahashi, but it appears that is the direction they are going.
